The Prayer Powered Entrepreneur

Before we dive into this week’s blog, there is great news to be shared. You may have already heard it, but in case you hadn’t, yesterday, Thurs. January 13, 2022, SCOTUS ruled 6-3 to strike down the Federal VAXX mandate. This is a big win for freedom lovers and we praise God for this blessing. This Supreme Court ruling is an update to my last “Philanthropic Capitalism” post “Jab or Job?”. For my readers in Michigan, go to Stand Up Michigan for a more detailed analysis of this ruling.

We are grateful for this win, but the battle is not over. So many workers have been negatively affected by the pandemic and the tyrannical mandates surrounding it. Some have had to quit or lose their jobs because of the mandates. However, I believe these challenges provide an opportunity to do something different work wise.

Just as the Great Depression, WWII, 1970’s Oil Crises, 2008 housing bubble crash, etc., creative people find new ways to do things. The adage “necessity is the mother of invention” comes to mind. That’s why I’m excited about today’s book review, The Prayer Powered Entrepreneur, 31 Days to Building Your Business with Less Stress and More Joy, by Kim Avery.

A couple of months ago I was talking with a friend of mine and she showed me this book. I immediately took a picture of it and ordered it shortly after. I knew that this book would be great for our family as we are all delving into business adventures. In addition, I knew this book will help others who need guidance with their careers and work situations due to the pandemic mandates. Even if you’re not hardwired to build a big business, I know you will still find this book encouraging and fruitful.

As of this writing, we are about half way through the book and have really enjoyed it. We’re inspired by the stories of successful Christian entrepreneurs like David Green who founded the huge global company Hobby Lobby. We also love that the daily readings come in bite size sections, with a scripture promise and a prayer starter question for each day. Having the mindset that God is the CEO of your life and business can truly make living less stressful and more joyful. Read the back cover and look inside here.

Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” As you make God the CEO of your life and business, may you experience His multiple blessings without added sorrow. May your life be filled with less stress and more joy so that you will be blessed and bless others In Jesus Name! Go forth bold, blessed, and brilliant!
