Creating Beauty

With all the horrific things happening around the world, I thought it would be good to focus on something beautiful. Recently I came across these two videos below, both with 10’s of millions of views, and clicked on them to see why they had so many views. They are simply mesmerizing to watch and see the artists reflect the creative flow of God’s gift of imagination and beauty.

You may not know this, but I absolutely love blown glass. I’ve collected a few inexpensive pieces over the years and I still love looking at them today. This is another reason why I clicked on the first video below. What is your favorite glass sculpture? The horse, the fish, the multi colored crescent, or the spiral. I had a hard time choosing, but I loved the horse and the spiral.

The second video caught my attention because of the pine cone. How do you do woodturning with a pine cone? Watch it and you’ll see something amazing and beautiful come to life.

Did you know that you are God’s masterpiece? “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10 God is bringing beauty to life through us as we let the Holy Spirit create us anew.
