Fall Fun
Are there times when you need to take a break from the insanity of the world? I felt that way last week and wondered what bible verses I could find that related to fun. Click here to see a list of 100 bible verses about having fun. Below are seven tips I gleaned to have fun this fall and stay sane in an insane world.
Praise God with music and dancing. Psalm 149:3 “Praise his name with dancing, accompanied by tambourine and harp.”
Celebrate hard work with good food and drink. Ecclesiastes 8:15 “So I recommend having fun, because there is nothing better for people in this world than to eat, drink, and enjoy life. That way they will experience some happiness along with all the hard work God gives them under the sun.”
Know and speak the truth in due season. Proverbs 15:23 “To make an apt answer is a joy to a man, and a word in season, how good it is!”
Look for God’s blessings. Psalm 23:5-6 “You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. 6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.”
Get out in nature and be revived. Psalm 19:1 “The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.”
Talk and pray with like minded family and/or friends. Ecclesiastes 4:12 “A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.”
Be still and know that God has things covered. Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”
