New Beginnings

Because we live in a world of sin, life can bring death of some kind. Job changes due to COVID madness, betrayal of a friend(s), or financial hopelessness. Moving forward is painful and difficult, but like the Sabbath reset, each difficult change brings an opportunity for new beginnings. “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19

A week ago, I was listening to Tammy K. Clark’s livestream of Stand Up Michigan. The livestream isn’t the best quality, but she shares how God has led her from a lucrative career to being a freedom activist. The last part of the video is the best where she encourages those who have suffered with mask and vaccine mandates, to possibly walk away from their job by faith to something new as she did. If you live in Michigan, Stand Up Michigan is a wonderful resource for freedom lovers.

Or maybe you’re dealing with a relationship break. One day you think everything is great, and the next you become aware of the ugliness that was there all along. It’s an excruciatingly painful situation. You feel betrayed, angry, sad, disappointed, the gambit of negative emotions. Yet, this difficult heartbreak provides the opportunity for new ways of relating to others. Jesus knows your pain and how to move forward. He said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34 Even if “they” did know what they were doing, remember, people are not your enemy, but principalities and powers of darkness are. Eph 6:12 Give your heartache to God and He will heal you and guide you to new beautiful friendships that were better than before.

Lastly, for Bill and I as we’re facing retirement years, we felt discouraged and hopeless with how things were looking financially. Multiple times we’ve been financially wiped out due to catastrophic illness, failed business investments, and other personal decisions. But the good news is when everything looks hopeless, as you look to God for creative solutions, opportunities arise that you never expected. We’re excited about our new investment adventures that will be a blessing to us, our family, and others.

Change is challenging, and sometimes it takes a lot of hard work, but it can give you whole new perspectives and opportunities which bring joy. This is another reason why I love the Sabbath. No matter how bad, exhausting, or difficult your week has been, Sabbath comes at the end. I’m so thankful to God for this weekly reset that can guide our thoughts from the traumas of life to the possibilities. Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

May this Sabbath be a time of reflection. May your focus shift from the difficulties, heartbreaks, and hopelessness of life to the possibilities and opportunities you can pursue with God. He didn’t cause the pain, but He can overcome it! May you discover that reset in your life that will bring you blessings that you can share with others In Jesus Name! Go forth bold, blessed, and brilliant! Thank you for sharing, subscribing, and commenting below.
