Happy Resurrection Weekend!

Yesterday I shopped at Costco for our Resurrection celebration weekend meals and my son’s birthday. Other grocery stores in town have had some bare shelves due to the COVID-19 pandemic lock down. However, as I walked along the isles of this “club” store, the shelves were filled to the brim with food. I paused and said, “Thank you Lord for the abundance.” I felt very grateful and said, “Lord, I’m looking forward to your kingdom coming.” He gently but firmly replied, “My kingdom has already come. Otherwise all this abundance would not be here.” “Of course,” I thought, “because of your death and resurrection, and the good decisions of those who have gone before me, I’m enjoying the bounty of heaven right here, right now. Hallelujah!!”

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.” 1 Peter 1:3-4 Even though our inheritance on earth is not like the priceless inheritance of heaven, Christ’s death and resurrection gives hope to the believer, while others live lives of fear and dread.

If you’re a believer and feeling fear and dread because of the pandemic, fear not. Be encouraged! Jesus is King and our High Priest. “ So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Hebrews 4:14-16

The video below, “Solomon’s Temple Explained”, gives the backstory of how we can now go boldly to the throne of God. I think it gives a different perspective to the Passover/Easter holiday. As end time believers, how honored and blessed are we to be able to do everyday what the High Priest of the temple could do only once a year on the Day of Atonement?!

This resurrection weekend, may you find yourself passing from death to life as you go boldly to the Throne of God and bask in the glow of the emerald rainbow (Rev. 4:3). As you feel the loving arms of Father God, you will experience peace and joy, and will be so blessed, you will want to bless others In Jesus Name! Go forth bold, blessed, and brilliant.
