Passion 2020

Happy New Year!! I hope you had a wonderful New Year’s Eve celebration. My husband and I opted for a quiet night at home, which we both very much enjoyed! We’ve been traveling a lot lately and we were happy to stay in for the evening. We did want to see the ball drop and what was happening in other parts of the world, when we came across this amazing worship celebration on TBN. I had read about a big gathering celebrating the New Year titled Passion 2020, but I didn’t pay much attention. However, when I saw that 65,000 college age students were packed in a sold-out arena in Atlanta, GA, all worshiping Jesus, my interest was totally piqued.

How exciting it was to see so many young people praising the Lord! What a contrast to all the other negative press about millennials, or the silly and meaningless parties on the other networks in Times Square. As we flipped the channels back and forth, my heart was so blessed watching all the young people honoring Jesus at the beginning of this new year.

As I’ve learned more about this conference, I discovered that these gatherings have been happening since 1997 (read more here). It could be a life changing event for them.

The key text for the Passion Conferences is, “Yes Lord, walking in the way of your truth, we wait eagerly for you, for your name and renown are the desire of our souls.” Isaiah 26:8 As you contemplate this verse, the prophetic word for 2020 which I posted last time (click here), and the good plans that God has for your this coming year, may the desire of your soul be to make Jesus famous as you walk in His Truth.
