Dancing To Defeat Darkness
January can be a bit depressing for some people. The holidays are over, New Year’s resolutions are out the window, and the days are shorter which means less sunshine. So, what do I do to fight the darkness? I dance! I especially enjoy black gospel music. The rhythms are bouncy and the uplifting lyrics point me to God, making me feel joyful. God is good no matter what, and praise dancing is a powerful weapon to defeat principalities and powers of darkness. So, get your groove on with the six videos below and have a happy day! “Praise his name with dancing, accompanied by tambourine and harp. For the Lord delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.” Psalm 149:3-4
In addition, since I’m featuring black gospel music, and Jan. 20, 2020 is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I wanted to share an announcement from Black Voices for Trump. “Black Voices for Trump announced today it will host a Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration featuring Black Voices for Trump board members Clarence Henderson, and Diamond and Silk in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Monday, January 20, 2020.” MLK’s niece Dr. Alveda King is a member and she said, "Even though widespread conflict and mutual distrust abound; we still have a Dream. So it's more vital than ever for us to reflect on the message of faith, love, and life that my uncle MLK shared with the world. Please pray for Black Voices for Trump." -Evangelist Alveda King (Read more.)
