The Philanthropic Capitalist Mindset In Action

Before we get into today’s post, I wanted to say Happy Fall everyone! This past Mon., September 23, 2019 was officially the first day of fall. The crisp air and making plans for the holidays has brought a joy and vibrancy to the new season. I pray that the areas of your life that have given you pain will be healed as you “turn over a new leaf”, as they say.

Today I have two amazing and inspiring stories of the Philanthropic Capitalist mindset in action. The first video is about the founder of Chick-Fil-A, and the second is about what Scott Presler, a conservative activist, is doing to clean up the streets of America’s cities. Both stories truly exemplify Eph 4:28, “…use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need.”

A couple of blogs ago I shared comedian Jeff Foxworthy’s talk where he mentioned Mr. Cathy, the founder of Chick-Fil-A (click here for that blog post). I wanted to know more about the story of Mr. Cathy and found the documentary below. I'm a vegetarian and don’t eat chicken and obviously I believe in the Creation Sabbath vs. the Sunday Sabbath, however, I admire greatly the legacy of this Godly man who lived his faith and values. I believe you’ll be encouraged and inspired to see what wealth can do in the hands of a follower of Christ.

While surfing YouTube earlier this week, I came across the second video highlighting the volunteer efforts of Scott Presler and others. I was disgusted by the reality and rawness of what is happening in our country today because of the Democrat mindset. On the other hand, I was blessed and grateful for the efforts of everyday people who were and are willing to give of their money, time, and talents to help those without homes or hope.

Matt 6:21 says, “Your heart will be where your treasure is.” Where do you spend your money, time, and talent? Where is your heart? Follow the money as they say! May you put into action the Philanthropic Capitalist mindset, so that you will be blessed and be a blessing In Jesus Name!
