Yay! We're Back!
Hi everyone! We’re back! To be honest, I’ve enjoyed my month and a half sabbatical. It’s been nice to take a break. On the other hand, it’s my passion to share with you great creations, great teachings, and great truths I’ve discovered along the way, so stayed tuned for those upcoming posts. Today, however, is a time of celebrations and updates!
First the bad news. Originally I took a sabbatical to work on remodeling my kitchen. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. We had to put that project on hold for multiple reasons which I won’t bore you with the details. But, don’t feel bad for us because good things are happening in other areas of our lives, namely we’re in the learning and processing phase of buying our first real estate investment property. It’s been a roller coaster of a ride, and quite a learning curve, but we’re excited about the possibilities of a profitable family business adventure.
Speaking of family, Bill and I are thrilled to have celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary last Tuesday the 15th of June. We had a wonderful little get-a-way at a resort town on Lake Michigan. We love the lake and always feel refreshed by the beautiful water, sun, and sand. We also ate delicious food, which makes me happy, and took the time to just relax. We stayed at the former weigh station for the South Haven Railroad Depot located directly on the Black River next to the drawbridge. It had a private deck that allowed us to watch the boats and geese/ducks go by. However, the lights at night along the river was my favorite view. It felt so serendipitous and magical. Thanks Bill!! Here’s to forever love!
Another milestone to celebrate is our 4th blogiversary which happened yesterday June 17!! I can’t believe four years have gone by. Wow! Thanks again to you, all my readers, especially to those who have shared my blog, commented, or emailed. I’m so blessed by your encouragement, prayers, and support!
Finally, Happy Father’s Day!! Thank God for Fathers! We love you and appreciate all you do for your families! Mothers may be the heart of the home, but it is the Fathers who provide the backbone and protection for the family structure. When families, a God created institution, flow with His love, it truly is heaven on earth! “Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments.” Psalm 112:1
Through all of life’s challenges, it’s good to celebrate the milestone blessings. It’s so important to thank and appreciate those who have remained by our side through thick and thin. These are the blessings that fame and fortune can not buy.
May you take the time to celebrate your milestones with those who love you. May you experience heaven on earth so that you will be blessed and be a blessing In Jesus Name! Go forth bold, blessed, and brilliant! Subscribe and comment below.
