Joy To The World! 3/4
Christmas can be one of the most hectic times of the year with all the festivities, decorating, shopping, cooking, etc. It can be a lot of fun if you don’t over do it, but still stressful. In addition, you can add into the mix all the COVID craziness, and all the regular stresses of life. Oh for a quiet moment to relax and reflect on the goodness and beauty of the season. This post is to encourage you to take that moment by watching/listening to the smooth jazz sax rendition of “Joy To The World” and “One Quiet Moment” by Glad in the videos below.
It’s so mentally healthy to take time to think about what you’re thinking about. What’s on your heart and mind? Pour yourself a hot drink, light a fire or candle, put your feet up and talk with God. What’s he saying to you? His words will be a Christmas gift just for you.
Be like Mary after she gave birth to Jesus and the shepherds visit. “But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.” Luke 2:19 She took time to think about all the things the shepherds had told her, and she reflected on this huge event taking place in her life. There was so much for her to process, the angel visits to herself and Joseph, her relationship with Joseph, the stories of the shepherds, and giving birth in a manger in a distant town. But, she took the time to think and she pondered these things in heart.
May you follow Mary’s example to be still, and be present with Jesus in one quiet moment. Doing this would be a gift you could give Him this Christmas. He’s waiting for you. Spending a few minutes with Him will bless you and in turn you’ll bless others In Jesus Name! Rejoice and Merry Christmas! Go forth bold, blessed, and brilliant!
