Seek Justice!

Earlier this week, I felt impressed to start reading Isaiah. Little did I realize how relevant the first chapter’s message was in regards to current events. It shouldn’t surprise me because it happens so often, but once again I was reminded that scripture is truth for today. The Palmist says, “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105 Ironically and completely unplanned, this message dovetails beautifully with my last blog post titled “What Do I Do?”

The age old question of “What do I do?” is answered again, but this time in a bit different way. My last post addressed the question on a personal level, where as, this post addresses the question on a corporate level. Isaiah’s vision of mayhem and destruction of Israel correlates with the destruction of our cities today.

The Socialist, Communist, Marxists are deliberately destroying America to remake it in their evil image. This is completely unacceptable by at least some of us. But, what do we do about it? God’s instruction comes midway through the first chapter of Isaiah. The Lord says, “Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways. 17 Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.” Isaiah 1:16-17

As a kid in school, we would recite The Pledge of Allegiance. Notice that America is a republic (not a democracy), under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. The word justice has been particularly jumping out at me over the past year or more. I think that believers of Jesus have been too tolerant of unjust leaders across the spectrum - government, education, media, church, etc.

These leaders have been getting away with ungodly behaviors, and have been gradually brain washing this nation to accept evil, even to the point that God fearing church goers are somewhat coming into agreement with the brainwashing. It’s amazing to me! However, no matter how it happened, it’s time to wake up!!

It’s ironic that the tyrannical leaders love to make you obey their laws, but also love to support those who are blatantly lawless. It’s very frustrating and confusing, but as the saying goes, “The devil is certainly in the ditches.” We are in a time where we need to decide if we’re going to live in the ditches or walk the straight and narrow road. We need to settle our minds and hearts on the truth based on the bible. Holy Spirit will give us the power and courage to do what is right.

God continues to say, “Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool. 19 If you will only obey me, you will have plenty to eat. 20 But if you turn away and refuse to listen, you will be devoured by the sword of your enemies. I, the Lord, have spoken!” Isaiah 1:18-19

Lord, may this nation settle the lawlessness in our land by repenting for tolerating evil. May we not live in the ditches of tyranny and anarchy, but rather may we learn to do good and seek justice by helping the truly oppressed, the widows, and the orphans. May your will be done and your kingdom reign on earth as it is in heaven, so that we can be blessed to be a blessing In Jesus Name! Go forth bold, blessed, and brilliant! Subscribe and comment below.
