The Ministry of Business

Traditionally “ministry” has been conducted in the church or in the mission field. Today’s blog emphasis the fact that “ministry” is wherever you go because God is in you, and hopefully shines out of you. This story from GotTV is a great example of the ministry of business and what Philanthropic Capitalism looks like.

The Green family, who own the Hobby Lobby company, stood up against Obamacare and the abortion mandate. Even though they could have lost their entire company, they knew God would be with them and in the end, they have a great story to tell of God’s blessing. Watch the video below or read more here.

Think about these two verses that will encourage you to share God with others wherever you go and stand for biblical principles. First, the Prayer of Jabez found in 1 Chron 4:9-10, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.” Second, Eph 4:28, “If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need.”
