No Excuse!

Yesterday, Apil 22, 2019, was Earth Day. Normally I would ignore the propaganda, except for the fact that the verse of the day from BibleGateway.com caught my attention. The verse was Romans 1:20 which says, “For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.”

The environmental propaganda demands we worship nature (like save the trees but kill the babies) vs. the God who created the nature. This propaganda goes directly against the 2nd Commandment which says not to worship any living thing. “You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea.” Exodus 20:4

The point is, we should take care of the earth, as outlined in Genesis 2:15, “The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it.” However, we are NOT suppose to worship it. We are to look at it and KNOW God, by clearly seeing His invisible qualities of eternal power and divine creative nature.

We have no excuse for not knowing God! I love that because the evidence of His blessing, creativity, humor and love envelopes us wherever we go. What an awesome God!
