The Biblical Money Mindset - Part 2/2
In Part 1/2 of The Biblical Money Mindset, I highlighted Kris Valloton’s book Poverty, Riches and Wealth, where he teaches about these three mindsets from a spiritual perspective. In today’s post, Part 2/2, Patricia King and Robert Hotchkins share their experiences of how to access the riches of heaven in the video below. Their insights further add to the biblical money mindset that Valloton talks about. Their teachings have been a blessing to me, and I believe they will help you too.
In all honesty, my understanding is expanding on how to think in regards to accessing the riches of heaven. Growing up, there was this feeling of fear of not having enough, even though we had much, especially compared to other third world countries. So, I’ve been in the process of retraining my mindset. It’s been a challenge at times, but I’m progressing from head knowledge to experiential knowledge.
According to Ephesians, God has already given us what we need. However, we need to be settled in our thoughts and feelings that if God said it in His word, then it is true. What does His word say? “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.” Eph 1:3. Did you catch that? “…HAS blessed us…” You already have what you need!
So what action do we take? Psalm 34:9-10 says, “Fear [honor, adore, worship] the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.” “…will lack no good thing…” What an awesome promise!
May you be settled in your heart, declare (to speak out loud) God’s words back to Him, and worship Him. Watch what happens, and keep watching until His word is manifested on earth (right here, right now) as it is in heaven, so that you will be blessed and be a blessing In Jesus Name! Go forth bold, blessed, and brilliant in the power of the Holy Spirit!
