Hope In Present Danger

This true story is a heart stopping, thrilling, can’t-put-down, page turner. My daughter and I read the whole book together in one Sabbath. If you haven’t read it yet, you need to. It is an amazing testimony of faith in the midst of fear, and God’s protection and provision. You can watch Sperantza’s talk in the video below summarizing her experience. To learn more about her and order the book, visit the book’s website (click here). The book is also available on Amazon.

But first before you go to that website, let me tell you how I came to know about this incredible book. My husband is a business colleague of Ken. Ken is the husband of Cornelia. Cornelia is Sperantza’s sister, who was only four years old when Sperantza and her mother left Romania. As Bill and Ken became better acquainted while working on their mutual business project, Ken invited us to spend the weekend at their home this past September.

We had a wonderful time together. I got to meet Cornelia and her now elderly parents who are living with them. Mother, Michaela, and Father, Corneliu told Bill and I a little of their story and showed us this book. They were so proud of their daughters and happy that Sperantza chronicled their traumatic and blessed experience.

What lovely and hospitable people they all were. Because we live about five hours apart, we don’t get to see them often. But, I’m looking forward to seeing them again and have them autograph my copy of the book. When I hear and read stories like this, I can’t help but praise God for His faithfulness. Psalm 46:1-3 says it best!

1 God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.
2 So we will not fear when earthquakes come
and the mountains crumble into the sea.
3 Let the oceans roar and foam.
Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!

In your times of fear and trouble, may you know that God is your refuge and strength and He’s always ready to help, so that you will be blessed and be a blessing In Jesus Name! Be Bold! Be Blessed! Be Brilliant!
