Through Heaven's Eyes

My daughter Heather and I love swapping great songs we come across on YouTube. For example, a couple of days ago Heather shared a favorite video/song of hers with me titled “Through Heaven’s Eyes” (see below). However, this song has a very important message that I wanted to share with you. The question is, “How do you see yourself?” Are you seeing yourself from your perspective or God’s perspective? In 1 Cor 13:12-13 the bible says we see things imperfectly.

“12 Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity.  All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. 13 Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.”

We may never fully know how our lives are impacting the world around us, but I hope that you are seeing yourself “Through Heaven’s Eyes”. I hope that you are loving yourself as God loves you. Condemning, belittling, and hating yourself causes sickness in the body and builds of the bank of fear. You don’t want to be rich in fear, you want to be rich in faith, hope, and love! These attributes are the stocks, bonds, and bank notes of heaven.

Read the lyrics and watch the short video below. May you learn to look at yourself “Through Heaven’s Eyes”. May that vision of yourself come into better focus so that the love of God can flow through you more freely. No doubt about it, you will be blessed and be a blessing In Jesus Name!

THROUGH HEAVEN’S EYES

A single thread in a tapestry
And though its color brightly shines
Can never see its purpose
In the pattern of the grand design

And the stone that sits up on the very top
Of the mountain's mighty face
Does it think that it's more important
Than the stones that forms the base

So how can you see what your life is worth
Or where your value lies?
Oh, you can never see through the eyes of man
You must look at your life
Look at your life through heaven's eyes (full lyrics)
