A Day Of Deliverance
Yesterday morning, (Thurs. 1-7-21), I woke up with a sense that their was great despair in the country. I wasn’t sure why, but later learned that President Trump had promised a peaceful transition to the Biden administration. Then it made sense why I woke up feeling that way. Many conservatives and Christians are feeling despair and hopelessness of a stolen election. Our country is in such a political and cultural storm right now, which makes me even more grateful for the peace that comes by keeping the Sabbath. It is a day that brings calm and security in the midst of uncertainty.
The word for this year is VICTORY which I talked about last week (click here). Knowing that, and knowing that it’s always darkest before the dawn (i.e. the cross/resurrection), I continued to declare victory over this election, even though President Trump apparently conceded. All week I’ve been saying, “‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6 A whole lot of shaking and waring has been going on, and God is waiting for all eyes to recognize and see that He is the deliverer. It’s a Red Sea moment.
Many have been looking at others for deliverance. First, everyone was looking at the election results. Then they looked to Rudy Guiliani and Sydney Powell. Then the judicial system which failed. Then to representatives, electors, Senators, Representatives, and VP Mike Pence, which availed nothing but allowing the evil to go unchecked. It’s very unfortunate and maddening to see the width and breadth of the corruption that has been allowed to go on in this country.
However, during this time, God has given people the opportunity to reveal their true character and manifest what is in their heart, and stand for truth or lies. The good news is that God now has a better scenario to reveal His glory and fulfill His Word. Deliverance and cleansing was not going to come through one person, or even a few people. Deliverance does not come by human might or power, but by His Spirit!
This is the beauty and blessing of the Creation Sabbath. It is a day of deliverance from whatever storm is raging around us. As we focus on what the Holy Spirit is doing instead of what is happening in the storm, we have an abiding assurance that Jesus Is King! Nothing can separate us from Him. The level of corruption doesn’t surprise Him. He’s known it all the time. In fact, “The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.” Psalm 37:12-13
The day of reckoning is coming. We may not know how or when, but God is faithful to fulfill His word. His ways are not our ways, so seek Him while you can find Him (paraphrasing verses from Isaiah 55). There’s no better time than on Sabbath to seek Him. That’s why I call it His date day.
May you find peace and deliverance on the Sabbath day through the power of the Holy spirit while you go through this storm. As you keep your eyes on Him, you will walk on the water and not sink, and will be blessed and be a blessing In Jesus Name! Go forth bold, blessed, and brilliant! Subscribe and comment below.
