The Prophets - Part 1/2

The Bible Project is a YouTube channel that explores the books and themes of the bible through animated videos. Recently they posted the video below which I thought was beautifully depicted. Since many believers have little understanding of what a prophet did, I wanted to share this video to give a good basic description of the role of an Old Testament prophet.

Stay tuned for Part 2 where I will share the experience of a modern day prophet prophesying current events. “Indeed, the Sovereign Lord never does anything until he reveals his plans to his servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7 This is great news because the messages given through the prophets are for our benefit. “But those who proclaim God's message speak to people and give them help, encouragement, and comfort.” 1 Cor 14:3
