The Bible In Our Own Language

The Kimyal tribal elders receiving the NT bible in their own language.

Today’s post is somewhat of a continuation of my last post titled The Bible And Technology. GodTV posted a report last week about the Kimyal Tribe, which belongs to the Papuan Region minorities of Indonesia. They received the NT Bible in their own language after decades of work translating the words. Even though this happened back in 2010, I had not viewed this video before and was so moved that I wanted to share it with you. Click here to read more and watch the video.

Those of us who have access to the internet are so blessed. We can read the bible in our own language in multiple versions. I repented to God for taking His word for granted when so many don’t even have a bible, let alone a bible in their own language. On the other hand, I rejoiced with these people that they can now read for themselves what God wants to say to them.

One day soon while worshiping God at His throne, we will see the multitudes from every nation and tribe and people and language. It will be the fruit of all the hard work of those who translated the bible in multiple languages. Won’t that be awesome!!

“After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands.” Rev 7:9

May we never take God’s word for granted. May we focus and take the time to appreciate it in order to know Him better, so that we will be blessed and be a blessing In Jesus Name!
