What's the #1 Cause Of Death In The World?

As you have probably read or heard, March for Life was held in Washington DC this past Friday, January 18, 2019. Going through my email inbox, I came across an interesting article and video. I think it’s important to highlight the devastating effects of abortion and the growing support for the pro-life movement.

Breaking Christian News posted this headline, “MORE THAN CANCER, MORE THAN HEART DISEASE; THIS WAS THE LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH WORLDWIDE IN 2018...” I was a bit stunned to read that reality. I thought heart disease came in #1, although I had hunch it was abortion.

Clicking on the article, it went on to say, “According to LifeNews, data compiled by Worldometers reveal that approximately 42 million abortions occurred around the world last year, making it the leading cause of death. Deaths from abortion exceeded those from cancer, HIV/Aids, suicide, and car accidents.” (Read more)

Once again the headlines prove scripture right. In John 10:10 it says, “The thief’s [Satan] purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My [Jesus] purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” How tragic and mind blowing that the number one cause of death in the world is 100% preventable!

The encouraging word, however, is that there is a growing outcry against this tragedy. The video below shows the overwhelming support for the March for Life. What’s more, college students are helping to lead the charge. Even if we are not able to attend the march, I believe it’s important to speak up for those who cannot. Proverbs 31:8 says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed.”

Speaking up doesn’t mean bashing those who have had abortions or support that mindset. It’s about following Jesus’ purpose to give a rich and satisfying life to everyone including the unborn. God’s in the blessing business! There’s no problem, mistake, or issue that surprises Him., or He cannot solve and turn around for good. He’s the upgrader-in-chief!!

May your purpose be His, to give life and “it more abundantly” (NKJV), so that you will be blessed and be a blessing In Jesus Name!
