Fighting the Real Enemy

A lot happened this past weekend, but amazingly it all tied together, Andrew Wommack, Veterans Day, and the verse “…the violent shall take it by force…” Sunday, we attended the Andrew Wommack event that I posted about last time (click here). We had an awesome day! We were encouraged, saw people receive various forms of healing and experienced blessing in our bodies as well. God is good, and it’s great to be in such a positive atmosphere! The meeting wasn’t extreme like some “healing shows”. We all were just basically commanding sickness, injury, diseases, and pain to go In Jesus Name!

During Andrews’ talk he mentioned the verse Matt 11:11-13 that says, “..the violent take it by force…” I’ve heard Andrew talk on healing several times, but this time that phrase really stood out to me. He was saying that we need to get “violent” with Satan’s kingdom that is attaching our physical bodies because of our wrong beliefs, twisted mindsets, and the way we speak over ourselves - “Death and life are in the power of the tongue" Prov 18:21. Click here for more teaching, and healing testimonies. GotQuestions.org also has a good explanation of Matt 11:11-13.

Being it was also Veterans Day, (shout out to all our veterans thanks!) I listened and pondered the word violent. I thought to myself we need to get serious as a soldier. When the enemy is attaching, soldiers have their weapons already prepared so they can fire and defeat the attackers. It reminded me of Eph 6:10-18 that encourages us to put on the whole armor of God.

It also reminded me of the video below of a couple of women applying this whole concept of being “violent" or passionate into a real life situation. This seemed especially true of Dawn, Scott’s sister-in-law. She shares her part of the story at minute 8:25. The song “Our God Reigns Here” that she refers to is also linked below. This story demonstrates how to fight the real enemy.

May you train like a soldier that you can defeat the real enemy, so that you will be blessed and be a blessing In Jesus Name!
