An Urgent Call To Prayer K-2/4

In my last post “Staying Calm In Political Storms?”, I referred to the craziness of the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings. I suggested to listen to a soothing song to help quiet the soul. This blog, however, is not about the stress we might be feeling, but a call to prayer for the Kavanaugh family and the horrible demonic stress they are going through.

As reported in Breaking Christian News, Dr. James Dobson calls for urgent prayer over Brett Kavanaugh’s “wounded family”. Thank you Lord you heal the broken in heart and bind up their wounds Ps 147:3. Also, Mrs. Kavanaugh asks for Psalm 40 prayer. Click here to read the article.

Here is the portion of that Psalm that stood out to me Ps 40:13-17, but I recommend you read the whole chapter.

13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me;
O Lord, make haste to help me!
14 Let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusion
Who seek to destroy my life;
Let them be driven backward and brought to dishonor
Who wish me evil.
15 Let them be confounded because of their shame,
Who say to me, “Aha, aha!”

16 Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
Let such as love Your salvation say continually,
“The Lord be magnified!”
17 But I am poor and needy;
Yet the Lord thinks upon me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
Do not delay, O my God.

Also, may we continue praying Is 54:17 that no weapon formed against the Kavanaughs will prosper. May our country remain a country that respects due process - innocent until proven guilty. May the righteous warriors be strengthened and stand strong, and may the principalities and powers be defeated so that our nation can be blessed to be a blessing In Jesus Name!
