Spring Is Here!!

Yeah!!  Today, (March 20, 2018) is officially the first day of Spring.  Spring is my favorite season of the year.  I love the feeling of newness.  Our Sugar Maple starts flowing sap for delicious syrup.  The birds start singing again, the sun seems to shine more, little buds on trees and flowers start appearing.  Our crocus bloom and carpet the back yard.  The feeling of hope grows stronger, and summer adventures tickle the imagination.

Life, whether it's relationship issues, health issues, money issues, spiritual fog, and conflicts of every kind, can wear us down.  Life may even take us away from God because of the hurt and pain that has come our way.  However, spring is a season for "recomputing".   God says, "See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."  Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)

Like the beautiful crocus, even though they are delicate and little, they can weather the icy cold of the snow. They seemingly serve little purpose except to let their beauty attract the bees to collect pollen.  You may be feeling frustrated, discouraged, insignificant, lacking purpose, and not belonging.  The icy cold of life may be surrounding you.  Let this little flower strengthen your soul.  You belong to the Body of Christ.  Your purpose is to fulfill the vision God has for you.  To Him you are the apple of His eye (Zechariah 2:8), and He loves you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31).

May your heart SPRING up with joy, so that you will be blessed to be a blessing In Jesus Name!
